Popular Nail Art Style in Europe

europen-nail-art

This style of nail art is rather more popular in Europe then in the American continents.  In Norther America, the average people tend to normally go with a square square or square round shape for their acrylic nails.  On the contrary in countries such as Sweden, Switzerland, England people seem to like the narrow shape like the photo above.  From this fact, we could guess that fashion is defined by location. While one style may be hot in one area, it may not be as hot in another area.

The Nail Art of Silk Wrap

silk_wrap_nailsLong, perfectly shaped nails are a symbol of beauty for women. However, maintaining beautiful nails is hardly possible for any woman due to the daily chores and lack of time. Artificial nails were made keeping this in mind. Earlier only noblewoman would use artificial nails, as a status symbol to indicate their superiority over the common people. Now a days, however, almost every woman uses fake nails some or the other time. There are many advantages of artificial nails, first of all they look quite natural, even though they are fake nails, secondly, they are easy to apply and remove, so one does not need to wait for the natural nails to grow and then shape them etc. With fake nails at hand, beautiful longs nails can be achieved anytime. And lastly, artificial nails are quite inexpensive! With these many benefits, no wonder artificial nails are so popular amongst women! Let us read and understand how silk nails can solve the nail woes, that women face.

When the word artificial nails is mentioned, one immediately thinks of acrylic nails. That is because, acrylic nails were the only type of fake nails used since the 20th century. Now, however many types of fake nails have come up. Silk nails, popularly known as silk wrap nails is one such type. Let us take a look at what silk nails are.

Silk Nails – Introduction
As stated earlier, silk nails are a type of fake fingernails, made from small pieces of silk material. These small pieces are cut into different sizes and shapes, to make nails. These silk wraps are applied to the natural nail bed with the help of glue, and when the glue dries, the silk nail is applied with nail polish, thus marking the completion of the silk nail application process. This simple procedure is one major reason for the increasing popularity of silk nails. The following are some other points that will explain to you the advantages of silk nails over other artificial nails.

Silk Nails is More Natural:
When the comparison is that of silk nail vs acrylic nails, silk wrap nails look more natural than acrylic nails. As we now know, silk nails are made of silk or linen materials, which are quite thin compared to monomer and polymer, the substances used to make acrylic nails. As silk nails do not create a thick double coat over the natural nail bed, they look very smooth and natural.

Silk Nails Give more Flexibility: If a comparison between gel nails vs silk nails is to be made, you will find that silk nails are more flexible than gel nails. The reason again being the materials used to make both the nails. Gel nails are made of gel acrylic, which is why they are thicker than the natural nail bed. On the other hand, silk nails are made of thin materials like silk. The method of application is also quiet different for both the types. Gel nails are applied by curing the gel under ultraviolet light, which adds up to its hardness. As we have seen earlier, the application of silk nail does not involve any chemical procedure, which maintains its thinness. Read more on nail art.

Silk Nails offer Protection of Natural Nails: Silk nails not only enhance the beauty of natural nails, but can also help in nail care. Those who face the problem of cracked, weakened or damaged nails, can apply silk nails to prevent further damage. The silk nails can provide a protection shield to the natural nail, giving time to grow and thus, avoiding the necessity of cutting the natural nail completely.

These were the advantages of silk nails over other artificial nails. Silk nails also have some disadvantages like less durability, fragility, etc. However, these nails are perfect for one day occasions, as they will surely grab attention!
